Sustainability
With a background in agribusiness and a commitment to systems reform, I bring experience across corporate sustainability, nonprofit governance, and global policy work. Initially drawn to a career in civil rights law, I discovered in agriculture a sector where every major societal issue from climate to equity intersects. As a Sustainability Associate at ANZ, I contribute to ESG strategy, taxonomy development, and sustainable finance initiatives. My broader focus is on addressing systemic inequities through long-term strategies that grow and sustain Aotearoa’s agrifood sector. My leadership experience spans from chairing IFAMA Oceania to co-developing national governance structures within tertiary education.
I believe New Zealand needs a dual economic approach: cooperative and unified internationally, yet competitive and innovation-led at home to ensure both global relevance and domestic affordability. A recipient of the Prime Minister’s Scholarships to Latin America and Asia, I’ve researched maize supply chains in Mexico and will soon engage in strategic vegan consultancy in Kyoto, Japan. I serve on the Council to amplify diverse perspectives, challenge the status quo and help share ad inclusive and resilience/ future for our food and fibre system.
